Position Overview:
The Ad Agency Legal Specialist plays a vital role within our communication and media advertising agency by providing expert legal guidance and support. This position requires a deep understanding of advertising industry regulations and best practices, as well as exceptional legal knowledge and analytical skills. The Ad Agency Legal Specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate any potential risks associated with advertising campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze advertising materials, including creative content, copy, and marketing campaigns, to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advise internal teams on legal requirements and best practices related to advertising, marketing, and promotional activities.
- Conduct thorough research to identify and interpret applicable laws and regulations, ensuring agency compliance at all times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop legally sound advertising strategies that align with client objectives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, and talent releases.
- Provide legal support and guidance during contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the agency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and legal developments that may impact advertising practices, communicating relevant changes to internal teams.
- Assist in resolving any legal disputes or claims related to advertising activities, including customer complaints or intellectual property infringement issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs for agency personnel to enhance legal awareness and compliance across all departments.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation, including contracts, licenses, and regulatory filings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
